The vent hose can now be cleaned using a vacuum cleaner and, if necessary, and cleaning attachment. The flexible hose should be fully vacuumed and all traces of lint, dust or any foreign particles removed from the internal surfaces of the vent hose.
The external location of all vent covers should be identified and these should also be removed and cleaned of any dirt or debris.
The passageway leading to the external vent should also be vacuumed to remove any debris that has built up. A brush can also be used to ensure clean, dirt-free access is maintained.
Once the above cleaning process is complete, ducting can be checked for any damage or deterioration, and re-attached to the dryer and any external fixings.
